Frequently Asked Questions

How long will our session last?

Sessions are 30–60 minutes, depending on the package chosen, and are usually done in the hour before sunset. This is known as “golden hour” when the light is at its best. I make sure to build in a little extra time at the start of every session to account for unforeseen circumstances like traffic.

When do you schedule sessions?

My sessions are offered seven days a week, and while most of my shoots take place in the late afternoon/early evening, early morning sessions are also an option if they work better with your schedule.

What if it is raining?

I keep a number of backup dates open in case of bad weather, and there's no fee to reschedule a new date if it's raining. Weather can often be unpredictable, so we can reschedule up to a few hours before the session is due to begin.

What if my child is camera-shy?

It's completely natural for young children to feel a bit shy or hesitant in front of the camera. That's why I take the time to connect with your child, creating a comfortable and relaxed environment from the start.

My sessions are play-based, which means instead of asking them to sit still and smile on cue, I encourage them to play, explore, and simply be themselves. This approach not only helps them warm up to both the camera and me as the photographer, but also leads to genuine, joyful expressions.

Having photographed hundreds of children over the years, I've found that it's often the unscripted, candid moments that turn out to be the most magical.
